Geographical Association

The Geographical Association (GA) is a subject association with a mission to further the teaching of geography and to communicate the value of learning geography for all. It has nearly 10,000 members including teachers in primary and secondary schools and further education, academic geographers and teacher educators and trainers. ESRI (UK) is collaborating with the Geographical Association (GA) in many areas that will improve teaching and learning of geography through GIS. For more information visit www.geography.org.uk

Royal Geographic Society

The Royal Geographical Society (with The Institute of British Geographers) is the Learned Society representing Geography and geographers. It was founded in 1830 for the advancement of geographical science and has been among the most active of the learned societies ever since. The largest geographical society in Europe and one of the largest in the world, the RGS-IBG operates at a regional, national and international scale. Learning Through Landscapes

Since 1990, Learning through Landscapes has been campaigning on behalf of all children for better school grounds. It believes that children and young people who miss out on good school grounds miss out on the best start in life. School grounds play a vital role in every child`s learning and development. They are unique spaces, providing safe and diverse opportunities for understanding, achievement, healthy exercise and play. ESRI (UK) has supported this charity in a pilot project to apply GIS to the better use of schools grounds. To find out more about the organisation visit www.ltl.org.uk.
