LocalView Sites
LocalView Internet enables councils to deliver a variety of geographically-enabled services to citizens online, through their existing authority website. It provides members of the public, businesses, councillors, officers and any other interested parties with a single point of access to the most up-to-date information about the location of local services and amenities such as schools, post offices and hospitals. Citizens can also view a location to submit fault reports directly to the council over the Internet, such as the location of a pothole or broken streetlamp.

Live sites created using ArcGIS
Cheshire County Council
Cheshire County Council has used ESRI technology to implement a range of corporate Web GIS applications including:
- Interactive mapping website which includes fault reporting
- The Roadworks Interactive Website, which enables citizens to find information about roadworks which are being undertaken on the County's roads.
- Tithe Maps Website which includes almost 500 Cheshire tithe maps together with the information recorded in tithe apportionments, representing a unique record of land ownership, occupancy and use in Cheshire over the last 150 years.
The aim of the Tithe Maps project was to develop a system for Cheshire Archives service that would meet demands for online access to archives and attract a wider audience for little-used but important historical documents.
The project received Heritage Lottery funding and was developed using ArcIMS and ArcSDE, 9.1. The system is the first in the country to use GIS to give access to 19th century tithe maps. It is so easy to use that demonstrations were given by junior school children aged between 7-9 years old at the formal launch in April 2008.
